Rogelio Amaral Pereira Junior

Rogelio graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2017. He has also completed his masters in Forensic Psychology in 2019. Rogelio has over fours years experience working with children and young people. He has worked as a specialist support worker, where he provided one-to-one support to children and young people on the autism spectrum in both the community and their home environment. Rogelio has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in various SEN schools in Greater Manchester, where he took a lead role in addressing the needs of primary and secondary school children with learning difficulties and autism. He has delivered learning interventions to support pupils’ individual learning needs and established good supporting relationships with the children and their families. Rogelio has worked collaboratively with multiple school staff and stakeholders to promote children’s wellbeing and contributed positively to their social, emotional and personal development.

Previously with Catalysts Rogelio was part of a project that provides support for access to education for children of refugee and asylum-seeking communities in Manchester this included supporting school staff in their work with children and families from these communities.

In his current role, Rogelio is now focused on working with early years to support children with learning needs through 1-1/Group sessions and class based interventions.
