Meet the team

Our 'Meet the Team' event is an informal opportunity to meet and talk to the Catalyst Psychology team, including experienced and recently qualified Educational Psychologists; Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Educational Psychologists.

We would particularly like to welcome those interested in applying for a job with us in the future, including practising child and educational psychologists, graduate psychologists and trainee educational psychologists.

We are currently advertising for a Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist and a Maingrade/Specialist Practitioner Educational Psychologist. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 19th March. Find out more here:

Event timetable

4:30: Refreshments and networking

5:00 - 6:00: a short presentation about Catalyst Psychology and how we are providing child and educational psychology services in the Manchester area. There will then be an opportunity to circulate and meet team members, ask questions, or just get a feel for how we work.

There is no requirement to book in advance, however it is helpful for our planning if you let us know if you are intending to come (we need to buy enough biscuits!). Use this RSVP form: Meet the Team RSVP

Travel/transport

Address: The Old Parsonage, Stenner Lane, Didsbury, M20 2RQ

The Old Parsonage is a mixed-use community and office building set in a small park (Parsonage Gardens) on Stenner Lane. Parsonage Gardens is set behind a pub called ‘The Old Cock’, with a second entrance opposite St James’ Church.

The Old Parsonage is managed by a charitable trust and there are travel directions on the website for The Didsbury Parsonage Trust (http://didsburyparsonagetrust.org.uk)

Catalyst Psychology Community Interest Company leases a small office within the Old Parsonage, used as an administrative hub and resource base for the company.

By public transport

From the South, you can leave the train at Stockport station and take a taxi or bus to Didsbury village. The bus station is a short way down the road from the train station, about 5 minutes walk.

A taxi costs around £15 to Didsbury.

From other directions, if travelling to Manchester Piccadilly, there is a connection to East Didsbury station. There are 2 trains per hour. East Didsbury station is just outside the village, close to Parrs Wood entertainment complex, and about 10 minutes walk from The Old Parsonage.

A taxi from Manchester Piccadilly will cost around £20.

Alternatively take the tram: our office is equidistant between Didsbury Village or Eat Didsbury tram stops, about 15 - 20 minutes walk.

Buses from Manchester and from Stockport stop close to The Parsonage on Wilmslow Road. Look out for Fletcher Moss Gardens as the place to alight.

By car

Stenner Lane is off Wilmslow Road (A5145) between Kingsway (A34) and Didsbury village. If driving from the A34, you need to drive towards Didsbury village and Stenner Lane is on the left hand side, shortly before reaching the village.

There are 2 pubs and a small restaurant near to the Parsonage Gardens. Parking is behind The Didsbury pub in a large car park, payment via an app. There is some on street parking next to St James’ Church. Parking on local streets (5 to 10 minutes walk) is also free of charge, but these tend to be busy during the day.
