Assistant Psychologist
Lauren Skade graduated from the University of Leeds in 2013 with a First Class Honours degree in Psychology. Whilst at Leeds she gained a range of experience; working for two years as a Mentor with Looked After Children in a local high school, teaching English abroad and volunteering as a tutor for primary school children with English as an Additional Language. Since graduating she has worked as a Learning Support Assistant in Manchester, working 1:1 and with small groups of children in both Key Stage 2 and the Early Years Foundation Stage to provide academic, social and emotional support and intervention. Alongside this she has worked with young people aged 7-16 with challenging behaviour and attachment difficulties at a Specialist Residential Home. Lauren is hoping to begin a long and successful career in Educational Psychology and is looking forward to learning from the expertise of the Catalyst team and building on her own experiences and knowledge. She is particularly interested in developing motor skill interventions and providing support for children with ASD and for Looked After Children.
