Find time for your talents

Finding out what they are good at can help children to feel good and build their confidence. Children should be encouraged to try new things and keep trying to see if it's something like or not. Finding what they are good at can increase a child's resilience. 

The Local Offer webpage have sections on things to do/activities to join in on for each age group from 0-25. Engaging in the community and joining in with activities can help children and young people to learn more about what they enjoy, and what they are good at. You can find all local groups and activities here. From football clubs to circus skills, children can explore a variety of talents. 

'Because' is a story written by Mo Willems which looks at how certain actions link and cause things to happen. It looks at how because one musician decided to play music, orchestras were created etc.,. You can find the read out loud version of the story here
