We are an established, highly regarded, fully traded Social Enterprise operating in the City of Manchester. Demand for our services exceeds supply and we are expanding our team in response to requests from our commissioners for an enhanced offer in relation to children and young people with needs in the area of social, emotional and mental health and Early Years children.
We are looking for creative, flexible and forward thinking Educational Psychologists who wish to join our small, friendly and supportive team. If you join us, you will take an active part in the development of our psychology-led service. You will have opportunities to initiate and participate in a broad range of work including action research, alongside providing a core service to a family of schools within Manchester. We have developed a unique service offer to schools that is consultation-led, solution-focused and supports capacity building through systemic approaches. Our community focus and partnership working with a growing range of stakeholders is a strength of our approach and we have recently won a major government contract for our work in supporting children displaced by forced migration.
We value and invest in our staff through continual professional development and regular supervision. As part of our commitment to growing our expertise we are offering up to £1,000 (FTE) of personal CPD to successful applicants. This allowance has enabled current members of our team to undertake training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Video Interaction Guidance and Narrative Therapy, and to attend conferences around the UK and abroad.
Recognising the need to maintain balance in our working lives, we actively encourage part- time and flexible working.
Catalyst Psychology is a Social Enterprise established in 2011. Ethnically and socially diverse, and with a growing population, Manchester is a vibrant and exciting city to work in. Our office base is in Didsbury, set in a beautiful small park with mature gardens maintained by volunteers.
Applicants must be professionally qualified educational psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council or a trainee on a recognised training course.
Any member of our team will be happy to talk to you about our work and our team: OUR TEAM
