Access and transport

Travelling to and from school can be a positive experience for pupils with disabilities and can help to promote independence. If the student’s experience is negative it can impact their day at school, including their ability to concentrate, learn and cope with challenging situations. Lack of access to transport can also mean children and young people experience barriers to afterschool clubs or social activities.
