Sami brings over 20 years of experience in HR and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across global organizations. His career began in talent acquisition, where he specialized in developing strategic resourcing capabilities, before evolving into leadership roles focused on driving cultural change and inclusion initiatives across more than 60 countries.
Sami is passionate about integrating AI and tech capabilities with human and DEI strategies to create innovative, accessible solutions for diverse workplaces. As Head of Strategic Projects at Amazon and previously in leadership roles at Wood PLC, he has demonstrated the ability to build consensus across culturally diverse teams while maintaining strong ethical reasoning and emotional intelligence.
He holds an MSc in Human Resource Management & Development from Salford University, is an AWS Certified AI Practitioner, and earned his BA (Hons) from Lincoln University. This unique combination of expertise in HR, technology, and inclusion underpins his approach to organisational development.
Sami's work is driven by a commitment to reducing barriers for underrepresented groups and creating inclusive environments. He has developed workplace inclusion frameworks that have been implemented across multiple countries and designed learning programs. Away from work he dedicates his time to mentoring and volunteer work designing approaches that respond to diverse needs and empower individuals across different educational and cultural contexts. Originally from the North West of England, Sami currently resides in South Manchester with his wife and young daughter, following international experiences that include studying in the US and working in the Middle East.
