Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist

Full time or Part time

Salary range: £45,588 - £50,398 (FTE)

Equivalent to Soulbury B Pts 2 – 5

In addition to delivering an educational psychology service to a number of schools within Manchester you will have a unique opportunity to develop new skills and experience. You will:

  • take responsibility for team development and practice in relation to your agreed area of special interest;
  • develop resources with and for the rest of the team, including work with our assistant psychologists;
  • find opportunities to embed your energy and enthusiasm in the work of our team and the approaches offered to schools;
  • have flexibility and time to link with research, development and good practice elsewhere, for example though linking with university research groups;
  • have protected time for development, including time and encouragement to engage in action research;
  • develop business and commissioning skills, for example supported opportunities to bid for funding;
  • develop links with charities, other social enterprises, and third sector partners, contributing to our approach to community-based applied psychology

We are looking for

  • a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist who is passionate about delivering psychology in school and community contexts,
  • who wants an opportunity to develop their practice in innovative and creative ways,
  • with interests or developed specialisms in any area of applied psychology, including but not limited to:
    • Social, emotional and mental health/emotional well-being in schools
    • Children in Care and Post-Adoption
    • Neuro-developmental conditions including Autistic Spectrum Conditions
    • Children under 5 (Early Years)
    • Growth Mindset and related aspects of support for Quality First Teaching in schools
