Grace Stevens

Grace decided to study for a conversion Masters in Psychology after working at an academic summer camp for children with Dyslexia. Since completing her MSc, Grace continued to work with Dyslexic students, by studying to tutor using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to reading instruction. Grace has also worked as a Behavior Support assistant, and Special Education teacher in the USA, before moving back to the UK to work as an Assistant Psychologist with Catalyst.

Grace believes that when students are provided with an environment where they feel safe and supported, they can feel the confidence required to explore and share their ideas. Her specific areas of interest are multi-sensory Orton-Gillingham reading interventions, and the use of mindfulness and meditation to support social-emotional learning and mental health.
