Emily Oswell

Emily studied psychology at A Level and pursued this developing interest at university graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Manchester in 2019 and a Masters in Psychology of Education in 2020. Emily has completed work experience placements in early years and primary age settings and chose a dissertation project centered around early language development. Since graduating Emily has spent four years working as an early years Teaching Assistant. In this role Emily has worked 1:1, in small groups and whole class supporting children with a range of special educational needs, delivering and differentiating interventions to support the development of children’s communication and language skills, emotional regulation and their social development. She has liaised with teachers, SENDCos, Educational Psychologists and other professionals, and in her current Assistant Psychologist role she uses her early years experience to support both school staff and children through planned training and interventions.
