I qualified in 1999 after having taught in Liverpool. Over 13 years as an Educational Psychologist and Senior Educational Psychologist for Early Years in St. Helens, I worked in schools on a number of levels, including individual assessment, consultation and training. I have also been involved in developing practice in St Helens through multiagency working and through the development of policies and practice relating to the Autism Spectrum Pathways of Care, Early Years practice and early identification of additional needs, Nurture Groups and Dyslexia. I have experience of working with all ages of children and young people, as well as young adults in a specialist College.
My doctoral thesis focused on attachment and nurture groups and fed into the development of Nurture Group practice across St. Helens. I have also been involved with specialist assessments as part of Autism Spectrum Condition pathways of care in two Local Authorities.
My areas of specific interest are Autism Spectrum Conditions, Early Years, Attachment and Nurture Groups.
